Date: 1-3 July 2025
Venue: Mitec, Kuala Lumpur
Event: 4th Global Culinary Challenge Malaysia
From 1 to 3 July 2025, the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, became a hub of culinary creativity as our talented students participated in the 4th Global Culinary Challenge Malaysia. It was an incredible opportunity for our young chefs to step out of the school kitchen and into a professional, high-pressure environment alongside some of the best in the industry. The energy in the hall was palpable as our representatives meticulously prepared their dishes, showcasing the technical skills and artistic flair they have worked so hard to refine.
Watching Ahmad Fariedz and Liang Biao navigate the intense competition was a proud moment for the entire SJIS community. Their success was not just a result of personal talent, but also the culmination of constant encouragement from their mentors and peers who supported them throughout their training. Whether they were plating with precision or managing the clock under the watchful eyes of the judges, their focus and professionalism were truly inspiring to witness.
We are thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our students: Ahmad Fariedz brought home a prestigious Bronze Award and a Diploma Certificate, while Liang Biao earned a well-deserved Diploma Certificate for his performance. These accolades are a testament to their dedication and the high standards of excellence we strive for at St. John’s International School. We couldn’t be prouder of our young culinary ambassadors for representing us so well on such a global stage. Congratulations to both of you for this “tasty” victory!
