English Support Programme (ESP)
The English Support Programme (ESP) is a specialised programme that complements the General English lessons taught during regular class time in SJIP & SJIS. Unlike the standard English curriculum, ESP focuses on strengthening students’ practical language skills through targeted support and intensive practice.
The programme is conducted by experienced teachers from a professional language centre, ensuring high-quality instruction and effective language development. ESP is designed for both primary and secondary students, with lessons tailored to suit different age groups and proficiency levels.
Lessons are interactive and discussion-based, using topics related to current affairs, social issues, and the latest news to encourage students to express opinions, think critically, and communicate confidently in English. This approach helps students apply the language in real-life contexts rather than learning it solely through textbooks.

The PMP provides structured guidance to help SJIS students navigate these challenges responsibly and confidently.
